Environmental Technology Staff Complete Laboratory Tests of a New Configuration of Palladized Iron (July 1999) Staff of Life Sciences Divisions Environmental Technology Section recently completed laboratory tests of a new configuration of palladized iron. PCBs were successfully dechlorinated from an extraction solution provided by a commercial vendor. Tests were performed both on synthetic solutions and extractant from a contaminated site. This work, performed for the Naval Station San Diego, is expected to be extended so that long-term performance testing can be completed.
