Completion of Radiological Survey for Air Force Center of Environmental Excellence (January 1999) The Life Sciences Division's Environmental Technology Section has completed a radiological survey on the Massachusetts Military Reservation, Falmouth for the Air Force Center of Environmental Excellence. The project completed data collection needed for the Feasibility Study. Over 2500 data points were collected and analyzed to determine the presence of BOMARC missile related contamination. ORNL/ETS was able to determine that contamination did not exist in the areas surveyed (60 buildings and 38 acres of land). ORNL/ETS produced a final report under budget and within schedule which was approved by U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection without comment.
