Center for Life Cycle Analysis Opens at ORNL (October 1998)

The Center for Life Cycle Analysis (CLCA) formally opened at ORNL on October 1, 1998. The mission of the CLCA is to conduct life cycle analyses and multi-attribute evaluations for environmental programs using methodology and expertise developed and available at ORNL. The Director of the Center is Dr. Kathy Yuracko, Technical Program Leader for LCA in the Assessment Technology Section of the ORNL Life Sciences Division; and the Deputy Director is Dr. Michael Gresalfi, Technical Program Leader for Public Policy and Recycle. The CLCA was formally announced in a two-page article in the September 28 issue of the "Weapons Complex Monitor" which describes the mission, history, and objectives of the Center.
