Mammalian Genetics

The Mammalian Genetics Group, incorporating Principle Investigators Elissa Chesler, Brynn Voy, Cymbeline Culiat, Yiesong Wang, Darla Miller, and Liane Russell, uses its strength in classical and molecular genetics to exploit mouse mutations as models for human gene function. Experimental work focuses on mutagenesis for the determination of gene function, analysis of the role of genotype in the susceptibility of mammals to environmental toxicants, the generation of genetic resources to enable the molecular analysis of mouse mutations, and the cryopreservation and distribution of genetic resources to the research community.
